Mala beads are a set of 108 strung beads used for meditation, mindfulness, counting mantra, prayer and reflection. Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning garland. Malas are sometimes referred to as Japa Mala. Japa is a Sanskrit word meaning "repeat internally".
